The Kremlin does not rule out a personal meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but stresses that it is possible only after specific agreements are reached at the level of delegations.

This was stated by the Russian president's spokesman Dmitrii Peskov, according to Russian agencies «RIA Novosti and TASS.

«There have been no changes in the position on the fundamental possibility of such a meeting. But it should be the result of specific agreements between the two delegations in different areas», Dmitrii Peskov said.

He also added that no decision has been made on the venue for the next round of talks between Russia and Ukraine. According to him, the location should be convenient for both sides.

As a reminder, Russia plans to hand over its developments under the memorandum on conflict resolution to Ukraine in the coming days.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently stated that the second round of peace talks with Ukraine will take place, and that Moscow is in the final stages of working on the memorandum. He also stated that holding elections in Ukraine would be «the best option» to determine who could sign a peace agreement on behalf of Kyiv.

Earlier, the European Commission confirmed that the next direct talks between Ukraine and Russia could be held with the participation of the European Union and the United States.
