The team of US President Donald Trump, who will celebrate 100 days of his second term next week, is already developing a plan for the next 100 days.
This is reported by Reuters.
According to the White House, in the next 100 days, Trump's team will focus on trade agreements and peace talks.
Next week, the US President will visit Michigan to take part in a rally to mark 100 days of his presidency.
The White House plans to focus on:
- the President's economic vision,
- expulsion of illegal immigrants,
- changes in foreign policy,
- the work of the Department of Government Efficiency, headed by billionaire Elon Musk.
The Trump administration will also intensify efforts to ban the entry of citizens from several countries and continue to work on trade agreements and peace talks.
According to a poll conducted on the eve of Donald Trump's 100th day in office, most Americans believe that the country is heading in the wrong direction.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine commented on the statement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about Washington's possible withdrawal from the peace process. As explained Heorhii Tykhyi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explained at a briefing on 25 April that such words are seen as an element of a communication strategy, not an official decision.
As a reminder, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that US President Donald Trump is ready to stop trying to mediate in the talks between Ukraine and Russia if there are no clear signs of a peace agreement in the coming days.
As a reminder, the Trump administration has been discussing the possibility that the United States will not be able to reach a peace agreement on Ukraine in the coming months. In this regard, new mechanisms are being developed to put pressure on both Kyiv and Moscow.
According to Reuters, after the latest rounds of talks, the White House and the State Department concluded that Vladimir Putin is actively resisting US attempts to conclude a lasting peace agreement. Washington is discussing possible economic and diplomatic measures that could force the Kremlin to make concessions.
Although Trump has repeatedly stated that he trusts Putin and believes he is committed to peace, recent events have made the White House question the Russian leadership's intentions. The administration is considering additional sanctions and tariffs that could be imposed on Russia.
