On 23 April, talks between Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States and France will take place in London. During the meeting, representatives of the countries will discuss the conditions for an unconditional ceasefire.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, an unconditional ceasefire should be the first step towards peace, and this Easter has shown that it is Russia's actions that are the reason for the prolongation of the war.
«We are ready to continue to move as constructively as possible to achieve an unconditional ceasefire with the subsequent establishment of real and lasting peace», Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
As a reminder, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the so-called «Easter truce». The Russians declared their readiness to cease fire from the evening of 19 April to midnight on 21 April, but only if Ukraine complies with the ceasefire.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on another Russian attack with attack drones that took place after 17:00 on Saturday, 19 April. According to him, this demonstrates the true attitude of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Easter and human life.
Earlier, Ukrainian officials held a meeting in Paris with national security advisers from France, the United Kingdom and Germany.
