Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump, photo: Office of the PresidentUS President Donald Trump has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may visit Washington this Friday, 28 February.
He said this during a conversation with journalists.
«I heard he's coming on Friday. I don't mind if he wants to. And if he wants to sign the agreement with me. I understand that this is a big deal, a very big deal», Donald Trump said.
It should be noted that Ukraine and the United States have agreed on the terms of the agreement on rare earth metals. The updated agreement does not provide for full US ownership of the joint fund with Ukraine, but it lacks clear security guarantees.
Donald Trump also said that Ukraine could receive $350 billion, military equipment, and the opportunity to continue fighting under the rare earths agreement.
