US special envoy on Zelenskyy's idea to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons: The chance is between negligible and zero

US Special Representative Keith Kellogg has rejected the possibility of Ukraine's return to nuclear weapons status and the corresponding weapons.

He said this in an interview with Fox News, commenting on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's statement about giving Ukraine nuclear weapons.

In his opinion, these are not realistic plans that have zero chances of being implemented.

«The chance that they will get their nuclear weapons back is somewhere between negligible and zero. Let's be honest, we both know that's not going to happen», he said.

Keith Kellogg, who was appointed by Donald Trump to coordinate the peace plan in the war, believes that the idea of nuclear arming Ukraine is doomed to failure.

«Remember, the president said that we are a government of common sense. When someone says something like that, look at the result or the potential. This is the use of your common sense», the US special envoy said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was ready to sit down at the negotiating table with Vladimir Putin for peace, despite his hostile attitude.
