Trump: The conflict in the Middle East is easier to solve than the war in Ukraine

US President-elect Donald Trump said that the conflict in the Middle East is easier to resolve than the war in Ukraine.

He said this in an interview with Time.

Trump has repeatedly promised to conclude an agreement to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. However, in an interview, he noted that the crisis in the Middle East is easier to resolve than a full-scale war in Ukraine.

«The Middle East is a problem that is easier to solve than what is happening with Russia and Ukraine,» he says.

We will remind you that a few days ago, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the President of France Emmanuel Macron and the newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump in Paris.

After that, Donald Trump said that the situation in the Middle East is «less complicated» compared to the war in Ukraine.

Meeting in Paris: what is known

In the afternoon of December 7, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Paris. In the evening, the leaders of states and governments of about 40 countries of the world took part in the ceremony of restoration of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris, after a five-year break due to a fire.

Zelenskyy held a number of meetings with several state leaders, in particular with the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili and the Federal Chancellor of Austria Karl Neghammer.

After meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and newly elected US President Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that they talked about the situation on the battlefield and a just peace for Ukraine.
