The Mykolaiv region has received 177.4 million hryvnias in state grants to purchase housing for war veterans and their families. These funds will be sufficient to provide 71 families with their own homes.

This was announced by Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

According to him, dozens of veterans received compensation for the purchase of housing last year. Of these, 62 families have already bought flats or houses.

«The state housing compensation programme is a real help for our defenders. Thanks to it, dozens of families in the Mykolaiv region have already been able to buy their own homes,» said Vitalii Kim.

This year, the region has received new funding, which will enable a further 71 families of veterans to purchase homes.

It is worth recalling that in Mykolaiv, certificates for the purchase of housing were presented to war veterans and the families of Ukraine’s fallen defenders. In total, in 2025, the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine allocated 3.9 billion hryvnias to provide housing for 1,587 veterans and their families. Of this sum, 108.4 million hryvnias were allocated to the Mykolaiv region — enough to provide housing for 42 families of veterans and fallen servicemen.

At the same time, the regional council approved the Comprehensive Programme for Social Support of War Veterans and Their Families for 2025–2027. It aims to create conditions for the integration of veterans into civilian life and to provide them with comprehensive assistance.
