The Mykolaiv Regional Council is proposing the creation of a new public institution, «Vector of Dignity». It will be responsible for organising measures to reintegrate Ukraine’s defenders and their family members, including counselling, rehabilitation, and psychological and social support. It is proposed that veteran Pavlo Poznanskyi be appointed as director.

This is stated in the draft resolutions of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, according to NikVesti.

Councillors are to consider the issue of establishing the new municipal institution and approve its regulations. These outline the remit of «Vector of Dignity». This involves organising activities for the reintegration of military personnel and their families: advising them on starting their own businesses, organising training and retraining, providing support, rehabilitation, adaptation, psychological, legal and social assistance, and support for veterans and demobilised personnel.

The sources of funding for the municipal institution are listed as the regional budget, subsidies from local budgets, its own funds from economic activities, property rentals, charitable contributions, grants and donations.

There is also a draft resolution proposing that deputies appoint the director of the municipal institution — Pavlo Poznanskyi, a veteran from Mykolaiv.

Earlier, «Ukrinform» reported that Pavlo Poznanskyi served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade. He was a defender of Mariupol, where he sustained five gunshot wounds and was taken prisoner. As a result of his injuries, the defender suffered punctured lungs, damage to his spinal cord and significant blood loss.

Today, 16 June, the issue of establishing a municipal institution and appointing Pavlo Poznanskyi is due to be considered by the regional council’s committees.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Pavlo Poznanskyi is a freelance adviser to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
