On Thursday, May 16, there is a significant shortage of electricity in the power system throughout the day. Consumption limits for each region were brought to oblenergo.

This is stated in the notification of the regulator.

It is noted that today, May 16, from 00:00 in all regions of Ukraine, hourly shutdown schedules are in effect. You can get information about your region in the consumer's office, on the official websites of oblenergo, or on their pages in social networks.

From 00:00 to 01:00 Ukraine used emergency aid from EU countries. In the future, electricity imports from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova are planned.

And the day before, May 15, from 7:25 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the power industry introduced emergency shutdowns in all regions of Ukraine. But due to the increase in consumption, these restrictions were extended until 11:40 p.m.

Ukrainians are persistently asked to consume electricity sparingly throughout the day.

We will remind that from May 14 to 15, in order to overcome the deficit in the energy system, at the request of Ukrenergo, the emergency supply of electricity to Ukraine was activated from 00:00 to 07:00 and from 11:00 to 24:00 from the energy systems of Romania, Poland, and Slovakia. Also, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the request of the Polish power system operator, the Ukrainian power system received excess electricity. Today emergency aid from EU countries was applied from 00:00 to 07:00.

Mykolaivoblenergo notified users about the forced use of emergency shutdown schedules.
