The Russian army has already killed 543 children in Ukraine

As of April 18, 543 Ukrainian children died at the hands of the Russian occupiers, and another 1,296 were injured.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

It is noted that these figures are not final. Work on their installation in places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, continues.

«More than 1,839 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of April 18, 2024, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 543 children died and more than 1,296 were injured of various degrees of severity,» the message reads.

Children were most affected in the following areas:

  • Donetsk region — 529;
  • Kharkiv region — 346;
  • Kyiv region — 130;
  • Kherson region — 150;
  • Zaporizhzhia region — 108;
  • Mykolaiv region — 103;
  • Dnipropetrovsk region — 131.

It is noted that on April 15, a 9-year-old boy died as a result of shelling by the Russians in Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region.

On the same day, a 16-year-old girl was injured in Kizomys, Kherson district, Kherson region, due to shelling by Russian troops.

On April 17, as a result of an enemy attack on Chernihiv, four children aged 13 to 17 were injured.

We will remind that on February 6, the Russians attacked Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district, Kharkiv region, hitting a hotel. A baby died.
