Rescuers of the State Emergency Service completed search operations in Odesa: a total of 12 people died

On the evening of March 3, the rescuers of the State Emergency Service completed search and rescue operations in Odesa.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.

A total of 12 people, including 5 children, died as a result of the Russian attack on Odesa.

«4-month-old Timofey, 7-month-old Liza, 3-year-old Mark, 8-year-old Zlata and Serhii, who was supposed to turn 10 in July,» Odesa RMA clarified.

Attack on Odesa on March 2

In Odesa, during a night attack on Saturday, March 2, a Russian drone hit a nine-story building, destroying one of the entrances.

Initially, it was reported that two people died, but later the bodies of three more people, including a three-year-old boy, were recovered from the rubble. Subsequently, the number of victims as of 18:00 was 7 people, including two children. One child was 3 months old.

On Sunday, March 3, the bodies of two more victims — a woman and a baby — were discovered under the rubble of a high-rise building in Odesa.

Later it became known that4 more people may be under the rubble.

After that, the rescuers managed to get the bodies of two more children from under the rubble.
