Thirty-nine ships and vessels were damaged by shelling and strikes.
This is evidenced by data from the Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Strategic Studies Institute, published on the BlackSeaNews website.
According to analysts, the attacks were carried out both directly on ships and during shelling of port infrastructure.
«In January-December 2025, the Russians carried out 22 attacks on ships in the ports of Odessa and in the Black Sea, both separately on ships and as part of attacks on port infrastructure,» the report says.
Among the damaged objects were 30 civilian ships, eight vessels (barges and pontoons) and one military ship. In addition, civilian crew members and port workers were injured and killed in the attacks. Port infrastructure was also damaged.
The most damage was recorded at the end of the year. Nine ships and vessels were damaged in December, and ten in November. In August and July, five objects were damaged, in September and March — three, in October — three, and in May — one. In June and April, no attacks on ships were recorded, and there is no relevant information for January–February.
Ships were hit in the Odesa Commercial Sea Port, the Chornomorsk Port, the Izmail Commercial Sea Port, the Danube ports, the coastal waters of the Black Sea, and the Danube estuary. In November, most ships were damaged during a single attack on the Izmail Port.
According to the study, the Russians used ballistic missiles, strike drones, unmanned boats, and sea mines for the attacks.
At the same time, in 2025, three ports in the Odesa region involved in the «export corridor» received 2,689 ships. The largest number of ship calls was in November and October — 266 each, and the smallest — in September (183).
Earlier it was reported that during the first nine months of 2025, 11 Russian attacks were recorded in the ports of the Odesa region, resulting in damage to 13 civilian vessels and one military ship.
