Law enforcement agencies together with border guards stopped the channel of illegal transportation of people abroad.

This is reported by the SBGU.

According to the service, a 25-year-old man from Odesa organized a scheme to transport conscript-aged persons across the border to Moldova in collusion with a local resident.

«The organizer used one of the messengers to select those willing. The «businessmen» took 2.5 thousand US dollars each from their clients. This amount included services for delivery to the border and further coordination of actions,» the message said.

At the same time, the SBGU noted that the scheme never worked: law enforcement officers exposed the suspects when they tried to smuggle a 29-year-old man from Kharkiv across the state border. They saw the men put the «client» on the train to the border post and he paid them for it.

During the search, investigators seized items proving the men's guilt. Law enforcement officers also found a bag with a white substance, which will be sent for examination.

«If it is confirmed that it is a drug, it will be qualified as another crime,» the press service added.

Now both suspects are detained, the question of choosing preventive measures for them is being decided.
