Russian troops attacked energy facilities in the Sumy region. A high-voltage object is damaged. Repair crews are working on the gradual restoration of energy supply to consumers.

This was reported to Ukrenergo and the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

It is noted that among the damaged civil infrastructure is a high-voltage facility. Emergency recovery work began immediately after the alarm was sounded. Repair crews are working on the gradual restoration of energy supply to consumers.

As a result of the Russian attack, the settlements of Sumy, Romenskyi and Okhtyrskyi districts were left without electricity.

«Thanks to the coordinated and professional actions of emergency services and energy workers, electricity supply was restored in the affected areas, and partially in the city of Sumy, at night. The work is ongoing,» RMA noted.

Also, the commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergency situations was convened as an emergency, which made a decision to restore the operation of critical infrastructure facilities at the expense of emergency power sources.

We will remind that during the day, from May 5 to 6, the enemy shelled the territory of the Mykolaiv region three times. Two territorial communities — Ochakiv and Kutsurub — came under artillery shelling.
