This is stated in the message of the commander of the Air Force Mykola Oleschuk.
«On the night of June 8, 2024, the enemy attacked with a Kh-59 guided air missile from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, launched 13 attack UAVs of the «Shahed-131/136» type from the regions of Kursk and Cape Chauda, Crimea,» the message reads.
It is noted that as a result of the combat operation, nine Shahed drones and one KAR X-59 were shot down in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, and Dnipropetrovsk regions by the calculations of the mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the EW of the Air Force.
We will remind that on the night of June 7, air defense destroyed two enemy drones over the Mykolaiv region.
