In Mykolaiv, 13 people were admitted to hospital with injuries due to icy conditions over the past day.

This was reported by Olekdandr Demianov, chief physician of the Mykolaiv Emergency Medical Care Hospital, in a comment to NikVesti.

According to him, four patients required inpatient care.

«Yesterday, 13 people sought medical attention, and information for today will only be available tomorrow morning. We have more than one department. There were cases of soft tissue contusions, several bone fractures, and chest contusions. Only four people require inpatient care, the rest are outpatients,» said Oleksandr Demianov.

We would like to remind you that on the night of 25 January, municipal services in Mykolaiv worked in enhanced mode due to a warning from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre about icy conditions.

According to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, the municipal enterprise ELU Avtodorig left a dispatcher, a loader driver, and six combined road machines on night duty to treat the roadway with special materials.
