Anastasia Prokofieva, a spokeswoman for «Mykolaivoblenergo» , compared the capabilities of power engineers to a hostess who has been given a limited set of food, NikVesti reports.
According to her, many consumers file complaints, referring to the response of «Ukrenergo», which states that scheduling is the responsibility of the regional power company. Prokofieva compared this to a situation where a person is given potatoes, onions and oil and asked to decide what to cook for dinner.
«Housewives will understand me now, imagine that you were brought potatoes, onions and oil, and when asked what to cook for dinner, you were told to decide for yourself. And you really will decide for yourself what to serve. Perhaps it will be fried potatoes, or jacket potatoes, maybe pancakes or mashed potato. But you definitely won't be able to make borsch from this and you won't be able to make French meat from this set of products. Returning to the schedules, it is really up to the regional power distribution companies to decide who will be cut off this morning, who will get evening peak hours or a seven-hour blackout,» said Anastasiia Prokofieva.
The spokesperson for «Mykolaivoblenergo» stressed that the duration of the outages is based on the block principle of the hourly outage schedule.
«Once again, the duration of outages is laid down in the block principle of the HHL and in no way depends on the desire or intentions of the oblenergo. However, when drawing up the forecasted schedule, we take into account many factors to alternate different groups of our consumers, distributing the hours of outages as fairly and evenly as possible,» she said.
In addition, Anastasiia Prokofieva promised to explain to in the next video whether it is possible to avoid seven-hour blackouts.
It should be noted that the energy situation in Mykolaiv region has deteriorated significantly over the past few days. The blackouts have become longer and locals can be without power for up to 17 hours a day.
Vitalii Kim has repeatedly said that despite the fact that Mykolaiv region produces ten times more electricity than it consumes, residents of the region will still be left without power according to the blackout schedules, as well as throughout Ukraine
Later, the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration said that in case of emergencies with power outages, the «Island plan» would be in place in the region. This will ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, social facilities and government agencies.
Recently, the regional power company said that in Mykolaiv region over the past month, during the hourly blackout schedules, consumers of all categories were left without electricity for almost the same duration. On average, Mykolaiv residents were without power for 218 to 220 hours.
Recently, Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, explained the reasons for the long power outages in the region, despite the presence of the South Ukrainian NPP. According to Vitalii Kim, Mykolaiv region transfers a significant portion of its electricity to other regions of the country.
