Tetiana Dombrovska, a member of the Mykolaiv City Council from the «Servant of the People» party, said that school №12 still has no shelter, and in response, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych advised her to help find funds for the arrangement.
This became known at a regular session of the Mykolaiv City Council on Thursday, 27 November, according to NikVesti.
This issue arose during the discussion of the second project to rebuild the destroyed school №51, in particular, Tetiana Dombrovska asked the mayor who would be responsible for the wasted money on the project.
«Children really come first, and I can say that as a mother now. But I have a question, the first question. How are schools prioritised? Because I've also been approached by many parents, and for some reason, all departments refuse me. They say there is no money [...] Of the latter, I was approached by school 12 because they have no shelter,» said Tetiana Dombrovska.
At the same time, Oleksandr Sienkevych suggested that the deputy herself join the search for resources.
«I am giving a protocol instruction to the Capital Construction Department to provide Tetiana Dombrovska with information about all the shelters that need funding today. Perhaps Tetiana will help to find funds in the state budget or any other,» said Oleksandr Sienkevych.
