Russia's massive attack on the night of 10 October was one of the largest concentrated strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.

According to her, the shelling caused significant damage to the energy infrastructure in several regions of the country. At the same time, repair work began immediately after the alarm went off. As of 7:30 a.m., emergency crews, power engineers and rescue services were already working in all regions.

«We have instructions for each region. All services are working for the fastest possible recovery,» said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

In Kyiv and Kirovohrad region, water supply is expected to be fully restored by the end of the day. In the capital, critical infrastructure has already been supplied, and work is underway to connect the remaining consumers. The Ministry of Energy will provide updated information on the situation in the coming hours.

Currently, emergency and special blackout schedules are in place in Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv and Sumy regions. Generators, unbreakable points and backup communication channels are in place.

In addition, street and transport patrols have been stepped up in Kyiv and other regions.

«It is important that all local authorities and community leaders contribute to the restoration work as much as possible and act in full cooperation with the regional and central authorities, as well as with energy companies,» the Prime Minister stressed.

As reported earlier, NikVesti wrote that more than 28,000 families in Kyiv region were left without electricity due to Russian shelling on 10 October.
