Elimination of the consequences of Russian shelling continues in Mykolaiv: utility workers clear rubble

Emergency repair and restoration works are underway in Mykolaiv at locations affected by Russian shelling on 6 July. Utilities and rescuers are working at the sites.

According to the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council, specialists from the 10th platoon of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the municipal enterprise «ELU Avtodorig» are involved in the relief efforts.

Specialists are clearing the area of debris, removing damaged structures and working to restore safe living conditions as soon as possible.

Attack on Mykolaiv on 6 July

On the night of 6 July, Mykolaiv was attacked by enemy Shahed drones. The attack damaged the city's port infrastructure.

In the morning, explosions were heard in the city. The mayor of the city, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported destruction. At least ten residential buildings, a catering facility and a bank were damaged. Utilities are already cleaning up the aftermath of the attack.

Initially, one person was reported injured. The number has now increased to two: A 31-year-old woman was hospitalised, her condition is moderate. The 35-year-old man was treated on the spot.

As of the morning of 7 July, the woman is in a stable serious condition, the RMA reported.
