In Odesa, on the night of 20 June, two academic buildings and a student dormitory of the National University «Odesa Law Academy» were damaged by Russian attacks.
This was reported on the university's official social media pages. According to the administration, a blast wave and fire destroyed the roof and facades of the buildings, damaged classrooms, a computer centre and equipment. In total, several hundred windows and doors were smashed.
At the time of the air raid, the students were in the dormitory, but they went down to the shelter in time. There were no injuries or deaths among the staff and students.
«Fortunately, because the students went down to the equipped shelter in the dormitory, there were no casualties among the staff. At the same time, it is extremely unfortunate that a powerful educational complex created to educate the younger generation and rebuild our country could be destroyed by the enemy in a matter of minutes, the statement said.
The academy's management assures that all damaged premises will be restored by the start of the new academic year.
Earlier, it was reported that the infrastructure of the railway station was damaged due to a Russian drone attack.
On the night of 20 June, the Russian army massively attacked Odesa with attack drones. More than 10 hits were recorded, resulting in large-scale fires.
