In the village of Bilozirka, Pervomaisk community in Mykolaiv region, a drunken man damaged a memorial banner in honour of the fallen Ukrainian military and a monument to the heroes of World War II.
The incident was reported by the National Police.

Photo: National PoliceIt is noted that the appeal was received on 17 June from the village elder. At the scene, law enforcement officers found a torn banner and damage to the monument's facade. During the investigation, the suspect was identified as a 34-year-old local resident.
He was notified of suspicion under two articles: «hooliganism» and «intentional damage to cultural heritage». For these actions, the man faces up to three years in prison.
