On the night of 17 June, Russian troops attacked Odesa with attack drones. The strike damaged residential buildings, an inclusive centre, a children's institution, garages and several cars. Fires broke out in the city.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
As of this morning, 13 people have been injured. All of them are hospitalised. Rescue operations are ongoing, and emergency services are working at the scene.
According to the State Emergency Service, people may be trapped under the rubble. The first deputy head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Kharlov, told a national news marathon that at least two people were killed. One of them may be a woman in her 60s who probably did not have time to evacuate during the alarm. Rescuers are also searching for another person at another address, whose whereabouts have not yet been established. Rescue services continue to clear the rubble.
On the night of 12 June, Russian troops attacked the south of Odesa region with attack drones. A large-scale fire broke out, destroying warehouses with reeds and equipment for processing them.
