In the Stavropol region of the Russian Federation, the company «Nevinnomysskyi Azot», which produces ammonia and ammonium nitrate, key components for the manufacture of explosives and artillery ammunition, was attacked.

This was reported in Telegram by Andrii Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defence Council's Disinformation Counteraction Centre.

According to him, the plant is a critical facility of Russia's military-industrial complex: up to a million tonnes of ammonia and more than a million tonnes of ammonium nitrate are produced there annually.

In addition, the plant synthesises melamine, acetic acid, methanol and potassium nitrate, dual-use substances that can be used in the production of ammunition.

Kovalenko also noted that since 2024, Nevinnomysskyi Azot company has been producing water-soluble fertilisers adapted to the needs of military chemicals.

As a reminder, on the night of 9 June, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, together with other units of the Defence Forces, attacked the Russian military airfield «Savasleika» in the Nizhnii Novgorod region.
