Kharkiv came under attack by Russian army at night: people are being rescued from the rubble, there are dead

On the night of 7 June, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kharkiv using kamikaze drones, guided bombs and missiles. The shelling killed two people and injured 17 others, including two children.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov.

Authorities report that the city was hit by 53 «Shahed» drones, four guided aerial bombs and one missile. Kyivskyi and Osnovianskyi districts of Kharkiv were affected.

In particular, Mayor Ihor Terekhov called the Russian shelling of «the most powerful attack in the entire time of the full-scale war».

One of the drones hit a residential high-rise building, causing a fire in apartments from the 6th to the 9th floor. There are people under the rubble. One woman was rescued from the rubble alive and is being treated.

As of the morning, three people were killed and 17 others were injured.

As a reminder, on 6 and 7 June, the Russian army attacked villages in the Kutsurub community with FPV drones and artillery. The strikes caused fires in the area.
