Russians attacked the Kherson Regional Military Administration building and residential areas in the morning

On the morning of 5 June, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kherson. The attack came from several directions at once — four guided aerial bombs were dropped, artillery was fired and drones attacked.

This was reported by the Kherson edition of «MOST».

Two men, aged 74 and 68, were injured in the shelling. Both were hospitalised with mine-blast injuries, the Kherson RMA reported.

According to the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, the city centre was damaged:

• at least five multi-storey buildings;
• the building of the Kherson City Council — eight windows were smashed;
• three educational institutions — about 200 windows were destroyed;
• administrative buildings and other objects.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson RMA, the Russians shelled the city centre with four multiple rocket launchers within 15 minutes. The strikes caused even more damage to the building of the RMA, which had been attacked by Russians on several occasions before.

Video footage from Russian reconnaissance drones was posted online, showing the impact of the KABs on the dilapidated building of the regional state administration and a nearby residential building. The air strikes were followed by FPV drones and artillery in the city centre.

On 3 June, Russian troops also attacked Kherson region, shelling high-rise buildings and private homes. Eight people were injured as a result.
