Russians attack Kyiv with missiles and drones: fires break out

On the night of 24 May, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and attack drones. As a result, fires broke out in several districts of the capital.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In the Solomianskyi district, the fire broke out in apartments on the 4th-5th floors of a five-storey residential building. Firefighters rescued a resident who was breathing in smoke. He was handed over to paramedics.
In Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out on the balconies of a nine-storey building, from the third to the sixth floor. Rescuers took three people out into the fresh air, and four more sought medical assistance.
In Svyatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out in a one-storey non-residential building with paint and varnish materials as a result of the shelling.
In addition, according to Mayor Vitalii Klytchko, the fall of debris was also recorded in Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city.
So far, eight people have been reported injured. Two of them were hospitalised from Dniprovskyi district. Another six received medical assistance on the spot in Sviatoshynskyi district.
As a reminder, the Russian army also attacked Mykolaiv region four times. In one of the villages, two private houses were damaged as a result of the attack.
