Law enforcement officers in Odesa have detained three men suspected of deliberately setting fire to relay cabinets near the railway and a military vehicle.

This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office.

Investigators found that a 27-year-old resident of Odesa district received an order via Telegram to set fire to a relay cabinet near the «Akkarzha» station. He agreed and completed the task. As a result, the equipment was completely destroyed.

According to the prosecutor's office, an 18-year-old Odesa resident acted in a similar way, trying to disable the equipment near the railway line «Odesa-Zastava». He set fire to it, but the train control system was not damaged.

It is noted that the third suspect, a 17-year-old boy, set fire to the car of an Armed Forces serviceman. He also followed instructions from social media.

All three men bought incendiary mixtures, recorded the arsons on video and sent them to their customers as proof of completion.

The investigation charges them with sabotage, attempted sabotage, obstructing the work of the Armed Forces and intentional destruction of property. The court has already imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention.

As a reminder, a 35-year-old resident of Odesa region who, together with his accomplices, set fire to the car of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will be tried in Mykolaiv.
