Shelling of a high-rise building in Odesa caused almost ₴18 million in damage

On 1 May, a multi-storey residential building was damaged as a result of a Russian attack in Odesa. Experts estimated the damage to the environment at almost 18 million hryvnias.
This was reported by the State Ecological Inspectorate of the South-Western District.
It is noted that the experts conducted a survey of the scene and recorded the contamination of land plots with a total area of more than 300 square metres.
The information was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine to create a unified register of environmental damage caused by armed aggression.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian shelling of Khadzhybeiskyi district of Odesa on 1 May caused environmental damage of over 700,000 hryvnias. Production and storage facilities, an industrial enterprise and a residential building caught fire in the city.
