Russia attacks residential area in Kryvyi Rih: children among the dead

On 4 April, Russian troops attacked the centre of a residential neighbourhood with ballistic missiles in Kryvyi Rih. The shelling left 16 dead, including six children.

According to the head of the city's Defence Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, more than 50 people were wounded.

The head of the Dnipro regional military administration, Serhii Lysak, said that at least 14 people were killed. Fires broke out in the city, and high-rise buildings were damaged. He added that the number of victims is constantly increasing.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the rescue operation was ongoing, with at least 5 buildings damaged.

Later, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, noted that among the wounded children was a three-month-old boy with cut wounds. Preliminarily, more than 30 people are in medical institutions due to the shelling. There are other children among the wounded.

As of 21:55, the death toll in Kryvyi Rih increased to 16, the RMA reported.
