In Kyiv, on the night of December 15, a man damaged flags and photos of the dead on Independence Square. Police have already detained him.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.

On the morning of December 15, residents saw damaged flags and photos on Independence Square and reported it to the police.

Later, the police found out that a 36-year-old native of Sumy region had done it. The man was detained by a patrol police unit.

«The offender was in an agitated state, and after being examined by doctors, he was hospitalized to a specialized medical facility,» the police said.

The issue of legal qualification of this incident is currently being resolved.

Let us recall that in June of this year, the graves of soldiers Dmytro «Da Vinci» Kotsiubailo, Andrii «Dzhus» Pilshchykov, and Pavlo Petrychenko were damaged in Kyiv.
