«Ukrzaliznytsia» is creating a unit that will protect the railway infrastructure with the help of drones.

This is reported by the press service of «Ukrzaliznytsia».

It is noted that this will help in security and give veterans the opportunity to apply their military experience in civilian work. First, a test unit will be created, and then a whole network.

«This initiative will help ensure the protection of railway facilities, as well as provide an opportunity for veterans to apply their military experience and skills in civilian work,» the message reads.

The carrier signed a memorandum with the Kruk UAV Operator Training Center. The instructors will be engaged in the retraining of railway veterans: they will teach copter piloting, engineering, assembly and maintenance of drones.

UAVs will be used to combat the theft of Ukrzaliznytsia property at stations and tracks, record offenses, detect theft of fuel from locomotives, inspect infrastructure during martial law, as well as participate in the investigation of transport accidents, Ukrzaliznytsia adds.

We will remind you that last year «Ukrzaliznytsia» increased the volume of domestic production of machinery and products of the railway industry.

Earlier it was reported that «Ukrzaliznytsia» is starting restoration work on the destroyed railway bridge over the Southern Bug River in the Voznesensk community.
