On Tuesday, May 28, Sweden allocated more than 56 million euros to help the energy system of Ukraine, including Mykolaiv.

This was reported by the press service of the Swedish government.

«The new support will help ensure Ukraine's energy supply so that essential public services such as schools, hospitals, transport, water supply and businesses can continue to function,» the government added.

It is noted that the financial support of Sweden consists of two parts:

  • SEK 500 million through the Fund for Energy Support of Ukraine of the Energy Community;
  • SEK 150 million through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The need for technical equipment and other resources for energy production, such as generators, transformers, installations and personnel training, is high.

It is noted that the support through UNDP will be aimed at financing the urgent construction of energy infrastructure in Ukraine.

Technical equipment and other resources for energy production, such as generators, transformers, installations and personnel training, are currently in dire need.

Due to urgent needs, priority will be given to Kharkiv, but other cities, such as Odesa, Kyiv and Mykolaiv, will be able to receive support.

We will remind you that the Mykolaiv City Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Mykolaiv Electricity Supply Company regarding the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles.
