The Danish government has announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth two billion Danish kroner, which is approximately 268 million euros.

This was reported on the official website of the Danish government.

It is noted that the money will be used, in particular, to purchase ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers and to create a brigade of Ukrainian forces together with the Nordic and Baltic countries.

«In this regard, Denmark is allocating an additional DKK 2 billion to Ukraine. The money will be spent, among other things, on ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers and the development of a brigade-sized Ukrainian force together with the Nordic and Baltic countries», the statement said.

It should be noted that Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is taking part in official events in Kyiv to mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion, along with the EU and European leaders.

«I am proud that Denmark, together with the Nordic and Baltic countries, has been at the forefront of supporting Ukraine. Now we must hold on. Deliver more weapons. Faster. Donate to the Ukrainian defence industry. Because we are at a crucial moment. What we do now will be decisive for future generations in Ukraine and Europe», said Mette Frederiksen.

The Danish government reminded that this is the sixth visit of the Prime Minister to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.

According to polls, more than half of the Danes support the participation of their military in the allied contingent to ensure Ukraine's security.
