The authorities of the Kherson region reported that they had attracted almost four million euros of international aid for the reconstruction of water supply systems.

According to the head of Kherson RMA Oleksandr Prokudin, the project was discussed during a meeting in the Netherlands with the deputy director of VNG International Renske Stenbergen, senior project manager in Ukraine Tetiana van Waveren and senior adviser on international trade Reynaud Neuten.

«We are currently working on the implementation of the project «Reconstruction of water supply systems of the Kherson region: immediate measures and permanent solutions». Thanks to this international visit, we managed to attract almost 4 million euros for its implementation. Therefore, the project will be extended in 2025,» he said.

As Prokudin noted, the project involves the restoration of water supply and drainage facilities in Visokopillia, Novovorontsov, Chornobaivka and Kherson communities.

It was previously reported that international partners refused to finance the construction of a new water pipeline for Mykolaiv under the so-called «quick plan», therefore funds for the project will be allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget.
