Mykolayiv expects from Japanese partners new equipment for dismantling destroyed buildings and recycling construction waste.

Deputy Mayor Serhii Korenev told about this, the correspondent of «NikVesti» reports.

According to him, Mykolaiv signed a contract with the Japanese government for the supply of special equipment for handling construction waste. Such equipment should be provided by the Japanese international cooperation organization JICA. According to him, it is expected that technical support will start within six months.

— It is this organization that helps our state quite seriously. Through the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, they aim to help us seriously with technology. In fact, the Japanese side is quite slow and bureaucratized, communication has been going on since the spring of this year. Then they announced terms from one to one and a half years, — said Serhiy Korenev.

As previously reported, in Mykolaiv it is planned to process the construction debris that was created as a result of the destruction caused by explosions and shelling, in order to use it to fill potholes on the roads or to restore damaged objects.

However, as of now, construction waste has not begun to be processed yet.

We remind that the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council is going to spend UAH 3.4 million on the removal of garbage and debris from buildings damaged by Russian missiles.

Later it became known that the administration of the Central District of the Mykolaiv City Council intends to pay almost 200,000 hryvnias for the removal of large-sized garbage and construction waste.

Earlier it was reported that deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council twice «failed» to vote for the allocation of 2.5 million hryvnias for the production of a feasibility study on household waste management in Mykolaiv.

So far, the State Environmental Inspection has sent requests to territorial communities of the region with a request to determine temporary storage sites for construction waste.
