This was announced by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to him, although the state has allocated more funds than last year, pay rises for public sector workers have led to a shortage of funds, both in the region and in most local authorities. Consequently, they are now planning staff cuts and reductions in bonuses.
«The state has allocated us even slightly more funds than last year, but the pay rises for public sector workers have led to a budget deficit both at the regional level and in almost all local authorities. We have now been instructed to cut the Regional State Administration’s staff by 22%. There are no surplus staff; we will have to make tough cuts and reduce bonuses,» said Vitalii Kim.
The head of the Regional State Administration added that this will be a very difficult year: local authorities are spending funds on the restoration and support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so there are virtually no development budgets left.
«In the western and central regions, the situation is slightly easier, as businesses demonstrating economic growth have relocated there,» he noted.
It should be recalled that in October 2025, the average salary of officials at the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration stood at almost 44,000 hryvnias. At the same time, the average income of senior management reached almost 112,000 hryvnias.
