Mykolaiv needs ₴80 million to replace the most critical sections of heating networks, but the regional power company does not have the funds

Projects to replace and modernise the most critical sections of the heating network in Mykolaiv require 80 million hryvnias.

This was announced during a briefing on 2 December by Mykola Lohvinov, director of «Mykolaivoblteploenergo», a correspondent of NikVesti reports.

«We currently have almost 500 kilometres of heating networks. We modernise and repair them every year. If you see how the heating season is going, we have a minimal amount of steam in our networks,» said Mykola Lohvinov.

However, he added, the company currently does not have these funds.

«These are projects worth 80 million hrynvias. We don't do projects that we can't execute. If we understand that it is potentially important, we do projects and will continue to do so. But at the moment, we do not have these 80 million hryvnias to implement these projects,» explained Mykola Lohvinov.

Earlier it was reported that the utility company «Mykolaivoblteploenergo» plans to repair and put into operation 279.2 metres of the heating network on Dniprovska Street in the Inhulskyi district of Mykolaiv.

As a reminder, as of December 2025, the state's debt to the utility company «Mykolaivoblteploenergo» amounted to 1 billion 195 million hryvnias. These funds were to be paid to the company for the difference between the approved and economically justified tariff.
