The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has updated the rules for the payment of one-time financial assistance (OFA) to the families of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who died during martial law. The payments will now be partial and scheduled to ensure stable support for families.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.

The total amount of assistance remains ₴15 million. 1/5 of the amount — ₴3 million — will be paid immediately, and the remaining ₴12 million will be paid in instalments over 80 months, approximately ₴150,000 per month. This schedule allows families to cover immediate needs and receive long-term financial support.

The new rules will apply to deaths officially recorded in a death certificate from 1 September 2025. For those who died before this date, the payment procedure remains unchanged.

The schedule and mechanism of payments apply to all units of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, which guarantees equal treatment of all families of the deceased.

We would like to remind you that the introduction of the new MM-25 camouflage pattern for the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not mean that the familiar «pixel» — the MM-14 pattern — will completely disappear.
