Mykolaiv deputies reallocated over ₴620 million in the budget

Deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council have approved amendments to the budget for 2025. The city's revenues have increased by more than 623 million hryvnias due to additional taxes and subventions from the state.
This became known on Thursday, 4 September, during a session of the Mykolaiv City Council, according to NikVesti.
According to Vira Svyatelyk, Director of the Department of Finance, the hromada's budget revenues for 2025 are planned to be 6 billion 430 million hryvnias, and expenditures — 7 billion 65 million hryvnias.
In January-July 2025, the performance of general fund revenues was 103.2%. Due to the overperformance of the plan, the city plans to receive an additional 300 million hryvnias of its own revenues, in particular from
-
personal income tax — 274.1 million hryvnias;
-
income tax on utility companies — 6.2 million hryvnias;
-
real estate tax — 4 million hryvnias;
-
tourist tax — 210 thousand hryvnias;
-
administrative fines and penalties — 4.2 million hryvnias;
-
rent and other revenues — over 10 million hryvnias.
In addition, the city received 323.6 million in intergovernmental transfers, including

educational subvention from the state budget — 284 million hryvnias;

funds for additional payments to teachers — 1.18 million hryvnias;
-
subvention for hot meals for schoolchildren — 3.6 million hryvnias;
-
funding for projects under the Ukraine Recovery Programme III — 30.25 million hryvnias.
City budget expenditures will also increase by 623.6 million hryvnias. The largest additional allocations will go to:

Department of Education — over 353 million hryvnias;

Department of Housing and Communal Services — 95 million hryvnias;

Department of Social Protection — 30 million hryvnias;
-
Department of Health — 15 million hryvnias;
-
Department of Culture — 12 million hryvnias;
-
district administrations of the city — over 27 million hryvnias.
Earlier, the city council noted that most of the funds would be used to maintain utilities, pay for education, culture, sports, healthcare, as well as to compensate for social benefits and energy costs.
