Odesa has completed the full restoration of a multi-storey building at 24 Serednia Street, which was damaged by a missile attack in December 2023.
This was announced by Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
As a reminder, on 29 December 2023, the Russian army launched a massive missile attack on Odesa. The building in question was damaged as a result of the attack. The structures were destroyed from the first to the sixth floor.

The reconstruction work lasted several months. A new reinforced concrete frame was erected, floors and utilities were renovated, lifts were installed and the territory was landscaped. Almost 37 million hryvnias was allocated from the city budget for all the works and assistance to residents. The works were carried out by «Stikon».
This is the second residential building in Odesa to be fully restored after an enemy attack.
«I am grateful to everyone who contributed — builders, utilities, experts from the Academy of Construction, and deputies. Without further ado, this is a joint and great work,» said Mayor Trukhanov.
The mayor also reminded that residents of the apartments with the most severe damage can apply for compensation of up to 350,000 hryvnias under the state programme «eVidnovlennia».
Earlier, NikVesti already reported on the start of restoration work on the damaged building on Shevchenko Avenue in Odesa, which was repeatedly damaged by enemy shelling.
Also on 17 July, a meeting of the executive committee of the Odesa City Council decided to dismantle eight Odesa buildings that had been damaged by Russian attacks — three of them completely, five partially.
Earlier, the Mykolaiv City Council stated that they were not sure they would be able to rebuild all 54 houses by 2027, for which the HOPE project will spend 150.3 million hryvnias.
