Ukraine has received the ninth tranche of a $500 million loan from the International Monetary Fund. The funds will be used to cover priority budgetary needs.
This was announced on Tuesday, 1 July, by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He noted that this is the result of the eighth revision of the EFF cooperation programme. So far, the Fund has already disbursed $10.6 billion to Ukraine under the programme.
«I am grateful to the IMF for its constant systemic support, thanks to which we remain resilient in the struggle for freedom and rebuild the state,» Denys Shmyhal wrote.
Earlier it was reported that the IMF mission arrived in Kyiv for the eighth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) with Ukraine, which was launched in autumn 2023.
