Kherson region plans to build a power complex for ₴600 million

A new energy complex worth more than 600 million hryvnias is to be built in the village of Velyka Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region.

As indicated in the DREAM digital system, a land plot of 26.4 hectares has been allocated for construction.

Three plants with a total capacity of almost 13 MW will be installed there, fuelled by biogas from the local landfill. There will also be a heating system and cold storage facilities.

It is noted that the project will help modernise energy infrastructure, reduce dependence on centralised energy sources and better provide heat during the cold season. It will also make it easier to respond to possible energy emergencies.

The project documents are ready, but there is no confirmed funding yet.

It is also planned to build an energy generating complex in Mykolaiv to provide the city with a backup source of heat. The project requires 810 million hryvnias, and the utility company «Mykolaivoblteploenergo» is looking for a donor.
