As a result of the Russian attack on Odesa on November 28, pollutants were released into the atmosphere. Environmentalists estimated the damage to the environment at 176 thousand hryvnias.

This was reported by the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District.

It is noted that a garage caught fire due to shelling in the Kyivskyi district, releasing almost 56 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Information about this case was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine to use the data to form a unified register of damages caused by the Russian Federation's aggression.

For reference: Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless gas that is odorless at low concentrations.
