Budget 2025: expenses for the protection of state bodies and officials will exceed ₴3.8 billion

In the draft budget for the protection of state bodies and officials in Ukraine in 2025, more than 3.8 billion hryvnias were provided.

This was reported by the publication «Slovo i Dilo».

The publication reminded that the President of Ukraine and some officials, as well as state authorities, according to the law, must be provided with state security financed from the budget.

It is noted that the peak of spending occurred after the start of a full-scale war in 2022, when funding increased by 77% and reached almost 2.9 billion hryvnias.

In 2023, the amount increased to 3.3 billion hryvnias, and in 2024 — to almost 3.7 billion hryvnias.

According to the publication, in 2014, the budget allocated almost 314 million hryvnias for these expenditure items. In 2015, expenses increased by 37.6% and amounted to almost 432 million hryvnias.

It is noted that already in 2019, expenses reached 1.3 billion hryvnias for the first time. In 2020-2021, funding was also increased to 1.6 billion hryvnias.

It was previously reported that over 55 billion hryvnias are planned to be allocated for the production of weapons and military equipment in Ukraine in 2025, which is 3 billion hryvnias more than what was allocated for 2024.
