Grain exports from the Mykolaiv region fell by almost 25% in 2023

In 2023, the export of goods from the Mykolaiv region decreased by 39% compared to 2022.

This is evidenced by the data of the Main Department of Statistics in the Mykolaiv Region.

In particular, the export of cereals fell by 24.4%, oils and fats — by 54.9%, seeds and fruits of oleaginous plants - by 41.8%

In total, goods worth 1 billion 700 thousand dollars were exported during 2023.

Imports in 2023 also decreased by 25.8%. In particular, the import of fuel, oil, and petroleum products decreased significantly — by almost 65%. However, on the contrary, the import of fertilizers grew by two times.

In 2023, the Mykolaiv region imported goods worth 544 million dollars.

Last year, foreign trade operations were conducted with partners from 117 countries.

We will remind you that the Czech Republic wants to introduce deposits for imports from Ukraine. The country wants to introduce a system under which Ukrainian importers will pay customs duties, but the money will be returned if the grain is sent from the EU to the markets of third countries.
