Women head less than 30% of enterprises and organizations in the Mykolaiv region

In the Mykolaiv region, women head 15,127 legal entities — that's 29.1% of the total number of registered enterprises and organizations.
This is evidenced by the data of the Main Department of Statistics in the Mykolaiv Region.
A total of 52 thousand 71 legal entities are registered in Mykolaiv Oblast. Almost 40 thousand of them or 70.9% are headed by men.
Also, 39 thousand 386 individual entrepreneurs are registered in the Mykolaiv region. Of them, 19,200 were opened by women, which is 48.9% of the total number.
FOPs registered by men are slightly more — 20.1 thousand or 51.1%.
Earlier research by IMI showed that Mykolaiv media quoted women as experts only in 15.7% of cases. A little more women are mentioned in the media as heroines of materials — 21% of the total number of mentions of heroes and heroines.
