Rubbish, cardboard and fruit scraps have piled up near a stall selling watermelons and melons in Mykolaiv, and the area has been cluttered with pallets and old furniture.
Oleksandr Diachenko sent a complaint about this to the Contact Centre group at Mykolaiv City Council, according to NikVesti.
According to him, the unauthorised trading spot is located on the corner of Zakhysnykiv Mykolaieva Street and Yevhen Lapchevskyi Street.
The photo shows that the trading spot has been set up using wooden pallets, old furniture and other structures. Rubbish, fruit scraps, cardboard and waste have accumulated around it. The area near the tree and the pavement is also cluttered.
«I ask the relevant authorities to take measures to clean up this area and restore it to a proper sanitary condition, as well as to check the legality of this unauthorised street trading spot. Please inform me of the results of the measures taken,» he wrote.
It is worth noting that in August, residents of Mykolaiv most frequently contacted the Contact Centre regarding issues with trees, street maintenance and rubbish. In total, since the start of the year, residents have submitted 6,403 requests, of which 4,507 have already been dealt with, whilst a further 1,896 are currently being processed.
