The Strategic Investigations Department in the Mykolaiv region has a new head

Police Colonel Mykhailo Kostashenko has been appointed head of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Mykolaiv region.

This was reported by the press office of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Mykolaiv Oblast.

The new head was introduced on 18 June. He was introduced by the Deputy Head of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police, Police Colonel Denys Lysenko, and the Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region, Serhii Makhno. The event was also attended by representatives of the local authorities, including Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych and the Deputy Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Heorhii Reshetilov.

Serhii Makhno, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Police, noted that he is counting on continued effective cooperation between the units.

«I am convinced that your professional experience, integrity and sense of responsibility will contribute to the effective work of the unit. I wish you every success in your new role, and I assure you of my full support and constructive cooperation to ensure the safety of the region’s residents,» he said.

Prior to his appointment, Mykhailo Kostashenko headed one of the structural units of the Internal Security Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Odesa region. Last year, according to his annual declaration, he earned half a million hryvnias in this role.

Officially, the official has no registered property to his name, nor does he own any cars.

He holds nearly 800 thousand hryvnias in cash.

Denis Lysenko himself emphasised the importance of the unit’s coordinated work and wished the newly appointed head every success in carrying out his duties.
