The centre noted that a total of six children aged between 3 and 17 sought medical assistance during the outbreak. Five were admitted for inpatient treatment and have since been discharged following their recovery.

Samples were taken from the patients and tested using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method.

«Test results identified norovirus in five children, which formed the basis for the final diagnosis of «Acute gastroenterocolitis caused by norovirus. Severe course». The most likely primary cause of the outbreak was a visit to an entertainment venue by infected individuals,» the centre reported.
